Emma and David

May 2017  Photos in the following video by Vasilis Loukatos

Emma and David had become regular visitors to Kefalonia since they met in 2008, as Emma's grandfather is a resident of the island... and so it only seemed natural that they would get engaged and married here on their favourite island.

The wedding plans began soon after they got engaged here in 2015, and after a consultation with MGW the date and venues were arranged.

Emma and David fell in love with the fabulous Villa Medea in Skala ... a perfect venue for a private wedding party and an absolute gem of a honeymoon hideaway.

The ceremony took place on Skala beach on a picture perfect afternoon in early May, where 60 of their closest friends and family members witnessed them exchange wedding vows, just feet from the water, with the sand in their toes.

Emma chose a lovely delphinium blue for her bridesmaids dresses which were matched perfectly in the flower arrangements by Bosonis Art & Flower.

After the beach ceremony, guests were treated to cocktails and canapes back at the villa, while the newlyweds were treated to a personal photo shoot by the fabulous Vasilis Loukatos.
The photos continued back at the villa with the cutting of the cake and of course, the first dance.

Guests dined on an amazing bbq with pig on the spit along with some other local traditional dishes.  Their delicious wedding cake was later served alongside some traditional greek pastries.

The fabulous DJ Thomas kept the music and dancing going late into the evening ... and as Emma says, she did not want the evening to end !!

David's mother did an amazing job with all the wedding decorations, invitations, menus and favours ... everything had a theme of the sea and turtles ... a lot of thought and effort on her part ... well done Mary !!

For sure this lovely chilled-out couple will be spending many more holidays in Kefalonia ..... we wish them all the love and luck in the world xx

When asked about all of the beautiful wedding attire, Emma says....

"My dress was Phoenix Gowns and it was called 'Anna', it was A line. the shop was Together Forever in Crayford (she is amazing!) it's a little family run shop and nothing is too much to ask.

The boys shirts were from Next, trousers were from Matalan, shoes from Office and the braces were just Amazon. Grandad and Peters shoes were from Dune.

Adult bridesmaid dresses were form Sexyher in Croydon ( I would highly recommend any of your brides to them they saved me a fortune!). Shoes were form Dorothy Perkins.

Little ones dresses I took a chance on and ordered them from ebay for a whopping £17.99! Their little shoes were H&M and I made the little feet things they wore on the beach.

Lastly mine and Daves shoes were from Schuh, mine were 'Irregular Choice' & Daves were 'Ugg'. "

"Well where do I start. Teresa was brilliant from day one, any questions I had day or night were answered in minutes via email. We had the most amazing day and I didn't want it to end. All of our friends have commented on what a brilliant day it was. Anyone thinking of getting married here I would highly recommend Teresa as your wedding planner I can't praise her enough.
Thank you Teresa! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  "
