Jasmine and Nat

August 2014

So different from where they got engaged ..... Nat proposed to Jasmine in Andorra... on a ski lift !!  But when it came to planning their dream wedding, both of them knew Kefalonia was the perfect place after they visited here once before in 2012.

"We instantly fell in love with the charm and easy-going life of the island. This led to us desperately searching for a way to get married on Skala beach which was never offered by the usual holiday companies. After some searching we stumbled upon My Greek Weddings website and couldn't believe our luck. From our first few emails with Teresa we instantly felt confident in putting our trust into her fantastic organisation skills. And WOW, did she deliver. The meeting a week before the wedding helped make our day so special."

"The day itself was a dream and was everything we imagined plus more. The beach ceremony was in a beautifully picked spot and the mandolin player and his guitarist gave the authentic taste we were after."

A symbolic ceremony on Skala beach with 20 close friends and family, was followed by a delicious greek meze style dinner at Kelari Taverna, high up on the hills, with an amazing view of Katelios and Skala....

"Our reception at the Kelari Teverna was such a perfect place for us. Stunning views and fabulous food! Our guests couldn't believe the variety and amount of food served. The Mezze starter was gorgeous as was the main, with George the waiter doing a fantastic job of keeping guests well watered throughout the evening."

"The Greek band is a must have for the reception, adding to the atmosphere in such a beautiful location, and accompanied by Greek dancers made the evening highly entertaining. There were many occasions where we and our guests were being taught Greek steps and dancing the night away to the mandolin and the superb voice of the singer."

"....we wouldn't change a thing about the day. It was perfect in every way!

.....our advice for future couples would be to not sweat the small stuff! And to hire the Greek band!

.....Our bridesmaids were wearing dresses bought from a local shop in my home town called Xanadu. The dresses were by Tiffanys and were called 'Emma'. My dress was by Ian Stuart and was called 'Reno'. I got this from a very popular shop in Fochabers not far from home called Avorio. As for the best man and groom, they were in suits from Moss Bros."
